1994/2024: A Liminal Joint was commissioned by University of Southern California Glorya Kaufman School of Dance for the Fall Repertory Showcase Fall 2024 for the BFA class of 2028. In this work, O’Neal explores music 20 years apart by British electronic artists that have influence and inspired her, ruminating on the passage of time in between. What has changed? What remains? Merging hip hop, house, and contemporary dance, this moody hybrid work showcases the range of physical and social information that young artists are grappling with and exploring.
